The following are described some of the applications
of different tow trucks.
Flatbed Tow Trucks
Flatbed tow vehicles are one of the most widely used
towing trucks in the globe. This truck has a long, empty bed with a flat top.
To move the flatbed upwards and downwards, hydraulics is used. What makes
flatbed vehicles easy-to-use is that you can simply drive your truck up the
ramp or have it pulled up. They also assist in transporting vehicles that have
had roadside trouble or have been involved in an accident. Even a great variety
of vehicles and boats can be transported on flatbed tow trucks. They are also
considered one of the safest ways to tow vehicles.
Integrated Tow Truck
Integrated tow trucks are specialized trucks that
are used for heavy-duty purposes. They are used to carry other rigs or buses.
An integrated tow truck has additional axles for added stability and strength.
Also, its arm is much more entrenched in the core of the truck.
Hook and Chain Tow Trucks
Hook and chain tow trucks have the ability to tow
all kinds of cargo. These trucks were generally used in the past, but as a lot
of pressure is applied to the towed vehicles in this way, it is no longer so
common. The wrapped chain can scratch or harm the vehicle, so it is suggested
that you use this option only if you are carrying a wrecked car to a junkyard.
Still, the hook and chain tow trucks are utilized significantly for junk
automobiles and wrecked automobiles because when towing those vehicles,
additional damage does not matter.
Wheel-Lift Tow Truck
Wheel-lift tow trucks have the same mechanism as the
hook and chain tow trucks. However, they employ a metal yoke instead of chains
and cause no damage to the towed vehicle. The metal yoke is bent under the rear
or front wheels. A hydraulic lift suspends the front or rear side of the
vehicle in order to lift it from the ground and pull it away. Front-wheel drive
vehicles are pulled by their entrance tow parts.
